One of my favorites

Have you ever heard of Eddie Daniels? The man must have been born with a clarinet in his hand.

This is one of my favorite clips of him:

What a beautiful fusion of styles! Which gets me thinking... I've performed a wide array of genres. Can I offer anything new to the blogasphere and youtube community?

Cool sheet music resource

This morning I was looking for some sheet music online and I came across a site called Virtual Sheet Music. I have to say, it's pretty innovative and a great resource. I ended up buying $25 of music and decided to go with the year subscription for an extra $12. They got me! hahaha. However, this now allows me to download unlimited amounts of music for one year for free, which I think is a pretty sweet deal.

They have a version of Flight of the Bumblebee for clarinet and piano that I recommend.

Welcome

This blog has been set up for clarinet enthusiasts. Through my own journey with the instrument I have developed an incredible love for what it offers me both personally and professionally. Here you will find resources, news, product reviews, fun and inspiring clarinet videos. Plus, I hope to make it as interactive as possible. Send me your thoughts, comments, audio clips or video clips that inspire you and I will find a way to share them here.

I thought I would post this video of a young clarinet prodigy playing one of my favorite classical pieces, Grand Duo Concertant by Weber. Quite amazing for a 12 year old!
